Canvas prints are made from digital images or from scanned artwork. The canvas with the printed image is stretched on a frame and comes ready to hang without any assembly required, allowing you to display your image like a fine art piece. Canvas prints are available in a variety of formats and sizes; the most common dimensions are 20” x 16”, 16” x 12”, 18” x 24”, or 24” x 30”. They are hand-stretched, scratch resistant and printed with vivid, fade-resistant inks via either dye sublimation or inkjet print processes. The canvas print material is usually cotton or plastic-based poly canvas, a material that is often used for the reproduction of photographic images. After the image is printed onto the canvas, it is trimmed to size, stapled to wooden panels and displayed in a frame or as a gallery wrap. The frames are usually constructed from solid pine and underpinned for added strength.
