Why you should care about Prop65 Compliance Labels

It is now mandatory to include Warning Labels on products that may contain potentially harmful chemicals if they are being sold in the state of California. It is important that labels printed meet Prop 65 Compliance Labels. Proposition 65 of California is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. This act requires companies doing business in California to provide “clear and reasonable” warnings to consumers about chemicals that may cause harm. It’s the perfect time to sell current and potential customers compliance labels if they are in, or selling to, companies in the state of California. Effective August 30, 2018, a label warning must be made available prior to purchase on any product containing a potentially dangerous chemical. Chemicals on the Prop 65 list consist of naturally occurring and synthetic materials that include additives or ingredients from a wide range of products.
